Many people from past few days including me has made a call for boycotting the Chinese Product. Sonam wangchuk on May 28 uploaded a video in his Youtube channel and requested everyone to boycott Chinese Product. Wangchuk said that “Sena degi bullet se, Naagrik denge wallet se”. But is this the solution? Can we actually boycott them?

Yes, It is technically possible to boycott them if start avoiding them. But we have to also keep this in mind that this will also affect our Economy too. For example Vivo which is a Chinese technology company owned by BBK Electronics that designs and develops smartphones, smartphone accessories, software and online services. BBK Electronics also owns Oppo, Realme and OnePlus. Vivo and Oppo has more than 1000 stores and Vivo is also ready to setup 260 stores and these stores provide employment to many ‘”INDIANS” now here comes the very big question which is been ignored by most of the people, how will we be able to provide employment to them? Neither we can ignore the fact that Chinese Government is trying to dominant the World through this companies just like the East India Company.
Many people say what’s the need behind boycotting chinese products For instance Xiaomi phone which is assembled in India therefore provides employment to many Indian and the company is paying GST to Indian Government so why should we boycott them but that’s not the reality for example if I pay 10 Rs for Chinese mobile phone and the company will give 3 as tax to the Indian government and it will keep 5 as profit on sale and will be giving 2 to the headquarters which is in China and that company will again pay certain amount as tax to the Chinese government and it will indirectly strengthen the Chinese economy. So when you purchase something which is a Chinese brand then you’re indirectly strengthening Chinese Government.
But for every problem we have a solution, so what can we do?
We have to strengthen Indian products which can be done by substituting and decreasing the demand of Made in China products. All China bazaars should be renamed to India bazaars with maximum Indian products and this is only possible if the consumers start demanding made in India products. As said by our Prime minister we have to be vocal for local. We have to promote local products and strengthen them which will definitely improve the quality of the products. This will directly improve the quality and the status of small scale industries and will be able to provide employment to many people.

“Make in India’ is a LION’s step! This initiative on one hand, will increase manufacturing growth, and at the same time, will directly benefit the youth of the nation in the form of employment.” ~ Narendra Modi

Last year the trade deficit between India and China was $53.6 billion and the the top imports was Electrical machinery, TV which was $20.6bn, Reactors , boilers costing $13.6bn and Organic chemicals costing $8.6 bn. So we have to now focus upon that $53.6 bn. rather than purchasing a Chinese product we can go for a South Korean or Japanese or American products by this we can decrease the trade deficit as we all know the country having the surplus have numerous advantages.
We can’t deny with the fact that Indian companies are not at the state of producing quality products for example mobile phones we don’t have a single company which is producing Moblie components but this might change in coming years we might start the production but as of now we are not at state of producing components of mobile phones.
If we start purchasing korean or American brands we may basically reduce the trade deficit and we will be able to divide that $53.6 bn and this will increase the demand and those companies will start investing more in India and we will somehow be able to fight with the situation of unemployment caused by the mass boycott and we need to also keep this in mind that we don’t get over depended. We have to find the substitutes of the product, we may not be able to find the substitutes of each and every good but we might be able to substitute them after few year, it might take time but we will definitely find the substitutes.
